Hazrat Mufti Muneer Ahmed Akhoon (DB) has played a leading role in quenching the spiritual thirst of Muslims living amid the most materialistic society. Hazratji specializes in a unique science of spiritual healing and helps the community to resolve their problems through Quranic wazaif (ruqya). Innumerable people, both Muslims and non-Muslims have benefited from his treatment. Keeping in focus the needs of the Muslims, Hazrat Mufti Muneer Akhoon (DB) has initiated several pioneer projects. In 2004 the keystone for the welfare of the Muslims living in North America was established in New York, with the creation of Al-Muneer Foundation Inc. under the auspicious supervision of Ustad-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Mufti Muneer Ahmed Akhoon (Damatbarakatuhum). The purpose of creating this organization was to fulfill the religious and spiritual needs of the Muslims and also to reach out to the non-Muslim community and present to them the glorious teachings of Islam. Al-Muneer Foundation Inc. has been actively engaged in providing venues for offering five times prayers, delivering Juma Khutba, arranging Taraweeh and Eid Salah, as well as weekly Zikr nights for purification of the soul.
